A handgun is a firearm designed to be usable with only one hand. They are typically used in civilian or home defense weaponry.
Handguns serve as early game weapons as they lack a large enough magazine size for constant combat, and generally have a lower damage output than most guns.
USP
The USP is a semi-automatic handgun, based on the USP-45 designed by H&K in 1992 for civilian and law enforcement use. It’s equipped with a suppressor and standard 12 round box magazine.
The USP is a good starting pistol to protect oneself with, but falls short when compared to other weapons.
A suppressed weapon’s gunshots are quieter than non-suppressed weapons, and they cannot be heard from far away.

The Revolver is a great weapon to take out single targets as it is able to instantly kill any regular human with a headshot, but its low ammo capacity and slow firerate it makes it poor choice for multi-target fights and you can get fatally punished if you miss.

The Desert Eagle is a great close range weapon, but it begins to show its weakness the further away the target is due to the amount of recoil the gun has, it also falls off at multi-target fights because of its small magazine.

Submachine Guns are fully automatic firearms, characterized by their close range offensive power, usage of handgun cartridges and easy control. They are used by Security Forces, Police Tactical Units and Civilians.
Personal Defense Weapons are usually fully automatic firearms similar to SMGs, their main difference is that they are a lot more compact than SMGs and some are able to fire rifle-like cartridges. They are used by Military, Security Forces and Civilians.
They are very effective as mid- to end-game weapons. Their damage output is mostly average but some are below it.

MP7 |
The MP7 is a Personal Defense Weapon based on the real MP7, designed by H&K in the late 1990s as a rival to the P90. It’s equipped with an integrated vertical grip and a 25-round box magazine.
The MP7 is generally looked down on, however most players often forget that it has essentially the same firepower as the UMP-45, albeit with worse spread and recoil, and a noticeably smaller magazine.

SCAR PDW |
The SCAR-PDW is a Personal Defense Weapon based on the real SCAR-PDW made by FN in 2011 as a shortened version of the SCAR-L. It’s equipped with a shortened 25 round box magazine.
The SCAR-PDW is often compared to the UMP-45 as it has a similar damage output. But it is actually closer to the MP7 because of its magazine size and overall accuracy. It is overall a good weapon.

The P90 is a Personal Defense Weapon based on the real FN P90, designed by FN in 1986 as a replacement for 9mm SMGs used by NATO. It’s equipped with a 50-round top-loaded box magazine
The P90 has the largest magazine size of any other SMG, but falls short on damage and accuracy. However it is unique as it is the only fully automatic weapon with a x2 headshot multiplier instead of the usual 1.5x.

MICRO UZI |
The MICRO UZI is an even further scaled-down version of the UZI. It has an extremely quick firerate and low damage.
The MICRO UZI can be used to finish off an opponent quickly, as it will run out of ammo very quickly. Outside of this, it is not a very good weapon due to how fast it eats your supplies and mid damage.

The HK51K is a burst-fire Personal Defense Weapon, based on the real life HK51K, which is a heavily modified G3A3 by the “Fleming Arms” American Manufacturing After-Market. It’s equipped with a 20 round box magazine.
The HK51K is unique on its burst-fire mechanic, but it has a somewhat slow firerate and high recoil, which make it hard to control and thus not being able to utilize its full potential easily. If you use this gun, it is recommended you avoid jumping while shooting, this is because being mid-air greatly increases recoil and spread.

The SCAR-L is a fully automatic rifle, based on the real SCAR-L designed by FN in 2004 for the US Army’s “SCAR” (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle) Competition. It’s equipped with a standard 30 round box magazine.
The SCAR-L can be used on all ranges, and is outstanding on long range combat, with very high damage and amazing accuracy. Its only disadvantages are a slow firerate and reload time. It is considered one of the best weapons.

The AK is a fully automatic rifle, based on the AKS-74 designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov in 1974 for use by the Soviet Military. It’s equipped with an unusable side folding stock and 30 round box magazine.
The AK is a great close- to mid-range rifle, it has high damage, a fast firerate but medium recoil and spread. It starts falling short on a mid- to long- range enviroment such as Surface Zone or long hallways. It is considered one of the best weapons.

Beowulf |
The Beowulf is a fully automatic rifle, based on the HK416 (modified to fire .50 Beowulf) designed by H&K in 2004 for civilian and military use. It’s equipped with a 20 round box magazine.
It can only be obtained through SCP-914 by setting a SCAR-L on Fine, or a M110 on Coarse.
The Beowulf has one of the highest damage outputs in the game. But it is very difficult to use due to its extremely high recoil and low accuracy. It is only useable on close-range combat and you must not jump so you can be more accurate while using it. Despite its disadvantages, it is considered one of the best weapons simply because of its very high damage.

Shotguns are long-barreled firearms that shoot shotshell cartridges, which discharge into multiple smaller projectiles. They are typically used against small and fast moving targets as it is easier to hit them by shooting multiple bullets at once. Shotguns are used by Military, Law Enforcement, Hunting, Civilians, sometimes for sports.
They are only effective on close-range combat because of how far the shotgun pellets disperse. But if you manage to get a good shot they are very lethal. The way you use them during CQC may vary.

The AA-12 has the highest damage output of any weapon, but this is assuming you hit all pellets every shot, something that’s pretty hard to do due to its very high spread. Either way, it is extremely powerful for multi-target close quarter combat fights due to its high damage and good enough magazine size.

Nova |
The Nova is a pump-action shotgun based on the real Nova, designed by Benelli in the 2000s for hunting and target shooting. It’s equipped with a ghost ring sight and a 5-shell tube magazine.
The Nova can be used as a way to quickly finish off your opponent if you ran out or ammo or just feel like doing it. You can also combo the Nova with the shield to reduce the amount of damage you will recieve while on cooldown, a very powerful strategy that requires you to hit your shots consistently and time them well.
Another use for it is hunting down SCP-1507, it has a pretty good spread for a shotgun and high damage which means you’ll end up hitting at least one pellet if you aim correctly.

Designated Marksman Rifles are scoped high-precision rifles that are differenced to sniper rifles as they are semi-automatic, provide a higher firerate and larger magazine.
Sniper Rifles are high-precision long-range rifles, characterized by their high accuracy.
You can technically use them on any range but you can be easily punished if you keep missing your shots. But it is recommended you use them on longer ranges as it is harder for them to notice and shoot you, which gives you enough time to properly aim and kill them quickly.

M110 |
The M110 is a semi-automatic Designated Marksman Rifle, based on the real M110 SASS designed by the Knight’s Armaments Company as replacement for the older M24 bolt action rifles. It’s equipped with a black high power sniper scope, a welded shut unusable bipod, and 25 round box magazine.
The M110 is a great mid- to long-range DMR as you can very easily kill most humans with one headshot and one bodyshot, but it falls short on regular close range combat, although you can use it to surprise attack players or finish them off if you ran out of ammo on your primary weapon. It is one of the best weapons as it has an extremely high damage output if you are hitting headshots.

M60 |
The M60 is based on the real M60, designed by Saco Defense in 1957 for the US Army. It’s equipped with an unusable bipod and a 200-round ammo belt.
The M60 has a slightly above average damage output and is characterized by having the largest magazine in the game, being able to shoot for over 8 seconds non-stop. It is one of the best weapons to fight SCPs with, as you wont have to bother reloading most of the time. You can also use it to suppress enemies on decently long hallways.

Grenade Launchers are weapons that fire a large-caliber projectile with an explosive on it, called grenade cartridges. Grenade launchers are produced in the form of standalone weapons which are either single-shot or repeating.
Grenade Launchers are very risky to use on close range as you might accidentally kill yourself if one of your grenades gets too close to you. They are most effective while fighting large groups of enemies that are close to eachother (such as minion SCPs), or hard to hit targets like SCP-1507.
The grenade projectile has an explosion timer that starts once it has hit a surface, such as the floor, walls or a prop.

HK169 Grenade Launcher |
The HK169 is a Single-Shot Grenade Launcher based on the real HK169 designed by H&K in the 1960s. Ingame lore suggests that it was created by a Weapon Organization known as “WepX”.
The HK169 is a simple grenade launcher. It is honestly a bad weapon since you can dodge the explosive or you can just kill whoever is attacking you at the same time you’re avoiding most of the damage. The only special thing it has is slightly more damage than other Grenade Launchers, but regular grenades are more effective at dealing damage anyways.

It is essentially a slightly worse Milkor MGL, with the difference of being able to reload faster. It is your choice if you prefer being able to reload faster over shooting faster. It is most useful while fighting SCP-1507 or a large group of minion SCPs.

Many people prefer the Milkor MGL over China Lake as it shoots faster and holds a larger magazine. Which can be useful as your targets may try to move away from where the explotions are. It is most useful while fighting SCP-1507 or a large group of minion SCPs.

A railgun is a type of weapon which uses an electromagnetic force across a set of rails to launch a projectile at high speeds, opposed to an explosive propellant. A heavy iron bar with a bent end that is used to help lift heavy objects or to force things open, though ingame it only works as a weapon.
The Crowbar is a weak but fast tool and is capable of taking down unarmed targets. The Crowbar can be found in most storages and certain lockers.
