The surface zone is the most important zone in Project: SCP, it is where all late game combatants spawn.
It also has an escape point for Class-Ds, Researchers, Head Researchers, and Janitors, located near MTF spawn.
The large open area of the surface zone allows for combat, throwing grenades, and more. It is best to not go to the surface when a spawn wave occurs that is not neutral or friendly depending on your current class.
Access Gates are very important on surface; They are connected between the Surface Zone and Entrance Zone, without which you wouldn’t be able to go to entrance if you’re on surface, and vice versa.
Each Access Gate has two elevators, which makes it easier to survive an ambush at the gates.
Gate-A is the first gate on the Surface leading to the Entrance Zone. Both elevators are at different heights making it harder to get from the bottom elevator to the top one than it is to get from top to bottom.

Gate-B is the second gate on the surface leading to the Entrance Zone, but unlike Access Gate-A, both elevators are right next to each other.

Spawn Waves in Project: SCP are very important, otherwise there wouldn’t be any gameplay beyond the starting classes. On surface there are three factions that can spawn in waves: MTF (Mobile Task Force), CI (Chaos Insurgency), UNGOC, (United Nations Global Occult Coalition).
Each faction has a unique way of arriving onto the surface, via helicopter, humvee or by parachuting down from an aircraft.
The Mobile Task Force is the first faction in Project: SCP, they are part of the foundation and assist in rescuing the foundation personnel, the termination of Class-Ds, and neutralization or recontainment of SCPs.
The MTF in Project: SCP arrive via a helicopter next to the blocked gate at the end of the road in Gate-B, nearby the Escape Point.

The Chaos Insurgency is also another major faction in Project: SCP, they are against the foundation and assist in the rescuing of Class-Ds and the termination of facility personnel.
Although CI in the foundation lore wants to take SCPs and use them to their benefit, this does not happen in Project: SCP.
CI in Project: SCP arrives via humvees through a tunnel to the end of the road at Gate-A.

The Global Occult Coalition isn’t a major faction in Project: SCP, though they are against researching SCPs, and has the intention to neutralize them. Anyone in the GOC can decide if they wish to help foundation staff or Class-Ds. Alternatively, they can decide to terminate them as they are neutral to one another.
The GOC arrives via an aircraft that flies over Access Gate-B, where the units parachute down nearby a door that has “Surface Containment Zone” written above it.

These are locations on Surface that are of differing importance and are uncategorized unlike the other locations, such as the Alpha Warhead Control room and Escape Point.
The Alpha Warhead Control room is very important in Project: SCP, as it allows for the destruction of the facility underneath via a nuke that is located within it. It must first be activated from the facility to have its detonation sequence started.
To activate the nuke, you must go to the warhead silo in the facility and activate it from the observation room, then go to surface and have a proper card, e.g, 05 Keycard, to unseal the button that starts the detonation sequence, which takes 90 seconds.
The detonation sequence cannot be canceled when at 10 seconds or less.

Warhead Control Room |
The warhead control room has a small square opening allowing throwing grenades inside, or people inside to see out for enemies.
Inside the room, there is a screen that has the nuke status on it, a button to initiate the detonation sequence; an ammo box with explosive ammo; pipes, vents, and monitors around the room.
On the surface, there is an escape point near MTF spawn which allows for personnel to escape and become their respective reinforcements.

The “Hall” is a hall nearby Gate-B, with a noob standing near the middle and a wireframe dummy at one end, and a door with the text “What is the project” in the middle and “What happened to 05-1” enscribed all around it.

The parking lot is an inaccessible, mostly empty, large area that can be seen from Escape Point which has the escape van, boxes, barrels, and 2 dumpsters.
The parking lot used to be a part of the old surface zone.
